July

Well, there are some advantages to staying home! I've been able to do different things around the house that really needed to be done! Looking for a new job has been a scary prospect. So far, no one wants me, but that is okay.

April Ramblings

Wow! How fast the last 3 months have gone. There are only about 5 weeks left until Jackie comes home from her first semester at Cedarville. It has been a joy to see the changes in her over this semester. She is truly happy now.

Dani and Mike are proceeding with plans for their wedding. It's exciting to sit back and watch them. Nothing is definite except the date 8/1/09.

I got an opportunity to go to a ladies retreat this past weekend. It is always fun to get away, but even better to get back home. I find that I miss my family terribly when I am away. I did learn a lot of different things. If only I would apply what I learn!

The school year is too quickly coming to an end. This is frightening. Many changes are in store for the summer. Following God's perfect will is the most important!

The Beginning of the End

As the year comes to an end, we begin to say goodbye to various phases of our lives. We didn't know how we would possible get to the end of one child's college education, and now it has come, and we are elated! Danielle finished her degree in Special Education last week.

We have come to another phase--that of future "inlaws". Dani not only graduated from college, she became engaged over Thanksgiving. Very exciting for her and for us.

Jackie is about 1/2 way through college, and will be transferring in January. As we embark on an entirely different university, we are facing different challenges. The former college was familiar, (my alma mater) the new college is unknown, but there is an excitement to that.

Three more days until I am on Christmas break. This will be fun.
